Songs From the Mist Remastered about to be released

Songs From the Mist, the first 2002 cassette recording is finally about to be released. The old cassette recordings, done in jIMs own apartment with only a Tascam 4-channel porta tape recorder as studio equipment, have been remastered in Stinky Studios/Studio Stink and will first be released digitally on Spotify, Wimp, iTunes, GooglePlay, Amazon.com, Deezer and Rhapsodhy early november. jIM has not yet decided if the release is going to be available as a physically copy as well.

– It's a tough decision, jIM says. I mean, I think every musician or artist wants to release a real record, at least us that still lives somewhat in the past when records was the only way to get hold on music haha. But it's not a natural choice in todays digital world. It's hard to sell records, at least the CD have gone totally down the drain, even I don't like 'em anymore. The vinyl record still lives though, and increasing again which is really exciting and joyful, but they are pretty expensive to make and I don't want to spend too much on this old recording even though I really like it. Songs [From the Mist / edit] will be digitally released in its entirety, then maybe I will choose about four songs or so and release them as a vinyl single/EP later on.

Later this week IMI records/production will reveal the artwork for the remastered version of Songs From the Mist.

– Yes, it's just some technicalities that has to be sorted out first. It's a picture taken in Indonesia and we need to check with the people in it if they are ok with going on the cover of a record talking mainly about drugs and alcohol haha. Though it's not in a romanticising way that supports the use of neither of them, well maybe one haha, mearely descriptions of different outcomings if you use them. At that time I hang around a lot of friends that liked to party a lot, and I was often in one way or another exposed to both drugs and alcohol though not necessarily meaning I was doing them myself, alcohol yes, but no drugs, I never been into drugs, it's shit. And shit going into the body instead of out from it can't be good in any way, you can sort of tell it just by hear how it sounds right?
